Summer Catch up!

Hello - I hope you've all had a beautiful summer!
It's raining outside today, the weather is getting cooler - Autumn is creeping up quickly and I'm sitting here with a hot cup of tea looking back on photos from the last few summer months wishing for the sun to return.
We may just get a few last days of warm weather before Autumn officially kicks in, but for now I'm going to share some pictures from during our summer.  Enjoy!

A Few of our Favourite Things in April

Hello from week 6 of quarantine - I hope you're all home safe and healthy.
As I mentioned in the last Favourite Things post, now is such a great time to support small businesses - there are so many amazing store online who are still shipping right to your door and need your support now more than ever during this time.

Here are 3 stores that I love, that I hope you'll check out!

Starting with -

                                         Merino Kinder

Mamas - if you're looking for great quality clothes, blankets and items for babies, toddlers and beyond - Merino Kinder has it all.
All materials used by this store are natural and high quality and finished to a high standard.

Our littlest, Rory Ember, loves her merino wool blanket - it is so soft , stretchy and cosy, but light enough for Summer days.

Merino Kinder is a family run business, started in 2009, that specialises in merino wool.
All their designs are tested by children and given the seal of approval, so you know already these are comfortable and cosy before your little one tries them out.

Merino wool stock baby carriers, blankets and clothing and more - please check out their full range here.

Next up-

Odalin are one of my new favourite natural beauty brands, I am really excited to share about them here!
A lot of you probably know that I love essential oils, which is one of the main things that drew me to Odalin - they use natural essential oils in their beauty products rather than harsh chemical and synthetic fragrances. They also don't use any petrolatum/mineral oils, artificial coloring, parabens, silicones or toxins. And to top it off - they are sustainable and don't test on animals! All products are made with natural and safe ingredients, so these are human tested.

Something that sets Odalin apart from other natural beaity brands is that they belive just like fresh foods, beauty products should be selected based upon the season of year. They have perfected each product's recipe with that in mind, so you can choose the perfect product for your skin type, current season and preference.

I have been using the Odalin Keep me Moist blends - both the Intense Hydration Lock serum and light cream, which smell like heaven and are so great at tackling dry skin.

Odalin also stock face toners, lip balms, eye creams, hand creams and some beautiful gift boxes, which would make a really special present for someone you love.

Check out Odalin's full range here.

I am obsessed with muslin swaddles for my new little one - they are so soft, natural and much more breathable than most baby blankets. My new favourite brand of muslin swaddle is Petite Laure - they stock the cutest range of designs and patterns - enough to suit your own style.

We have the flamingo swaddle, which is so soft and cosy, and such amaing quality - Rory loves this one. It is also perfect for tucking her in in the car seat on a cooler day.

If you're looking for something warmer for your baby they also stock knit blankets with beautiful hand emroidered patterns.

Has someone you know had a baby recently or are expecting one soon? Petite Laure's gift sets are perfect for a new mama in your life - a really nice way to celebrate welcoming a new little boy or girl into the world.
